Violence against women is a worldwide problem that affects women of all ages, ethnicities, races, nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. According to the statistics published by WHO, that approximately onethird of women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner or non-partner in their lifetime, no matter their age, skin color and social status. I’m going to tell the real violence stories about women from age 1 to age 80 in the form of a tear-off calendar.
Tearable Calender / Campaign Video
The reason why I chose the form of a tear-off calendar is that there are tear marks left on the page every time you tear a page off. I consider the rip page marks as the trauma and psychological harm that the events left on the victims. The action of tearing the page off is a metaphor of the persecutions.
